About

I'm based in Melbourne, originally from Penang, Malaysia, where eating well is a way of life.

I trained and worked as a chef in five-star hotel kitchens: St Regis Abu Dhabi, Wynn Palace Macau, Crown Melbourne, Grand Hyatt Melbourne and Melbourne Marriott Hotel. I'm now transitioning from the kitchen into photography full-time. That background is exactly why my food work looks the way it does. I know how a dish is built and what makes it worth capturing.

For the past two years I've been creating where2eatlah, my food page covering Melbourne's cafés and restaurants. I handle everything myself: finding the spots, working directly with owners and chefs, styling and shooting the dishes, and editing the photos and reels. Running it taught me to shoot for social: food that looks as good as it tastes, content that gets people through the door, and working to real deadlines with hospitality clients.

I started picking up a camera seriously last year, shooting on a Fujifilm X-S20. Alongside food I shoot street, automotive and portrait work.

Currently open to social media roles, freelance collaborations, and assistant photographer positions.
